With our thanks, and with prayers for the peace of Christ to be shared, Let us trust in the Lord, and may we continue as we’ve always been, together, the FPCQ family of faith. These are our first steps back into the sanctuary, and we fully expect that as things continue to improve, and more people are vaccinated, some of the restrictions adopted will be relaxed. However, we hope that for the safety and peace of mind of others, we would all be willing to do our small part, and that all who would attend worship in the sanctuary would adhere to these protocols in good faith. Please understand that neither the Session nor the church staff are trying to instigate conflict or argument with these protocols, and we accept that if someone is determined to ignore them, there is very little that we could do about it. We are asking for your help to ensure that our return to the sanctuary is a joyful one. Because Christ has commanded us to love our neighbors the Session believes to obey that command includes doing all we can as a congregation and individuals to keep each other, and our community, healthy and safe. It is important the congregation knows that the Session based its decision to return to the sanctuary, and the protocols necessary to do so, upon the available science and the latest recommendations of the CDC. At the Stated Session Meeting of protocols for indoor in-person worship were discussed and the list below was adopted. Our plan is to return to the sanctuary as a congregation for in-person worship on Pentecost Sunday, May 23, 2021. facility was the first private owned facility in Florida to house state inmates.
